The three main points
of direction for Immanuel are:
Healing
Missions
Renewal
Healing: In Jesus we are
restored and encouraged. He is our safe place. The acceptance of
Jesus leads us to seek further healing which is provided through
His people using the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We in turn are
equipped to reach out to others to help them find refuge and
healing in Christ physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Prayer: We will be a people
of continual prayer---listening to God and obeying Him.
Fellowship: We will be a
church of the Word striving to be loving and non-judgmental. We
will worship God with one voice, standing firm on the Word. we
will build relationships as we fellowship together in a variety
of ways.
Word: We will be a people
of the Word, Disciples of Christ. We will provide opportunities
to grow in discipleship through Bible study and training for all
ages. We will strive to discover our God-given talents and gifts
and use them in creative ways.
Leadership: We will strive
to fulfill our role in the Great Commission by seeking God's will
for Immanuel. We will encourage godly leadership and team
development. We will strive to be financially responsible, meet
staffing needs, and support missions.
Outreach: We will lovingly
reach out to our surrounding community in a variety of ways. We
will seek God's leading through prayer and His Word. We will use
the gifts of the Holy Spirit to facilitate God's work
individually and as a church.
Missions: We will challenge
and encourage each other to be purposeful and active in world
missions. We will discern God's will for us as "senders,"
"learners," and "goers."
